NEW YORK (AP) - The New York Police Department says greater than a dozen other people had been arrested after demonstrators climbed the globe sculpture in Columbus Circle to unfurl a banner protesting President Donald Trump’s immigration insurance policies.
The unscheduled protest came about round 1 p.m. Tuesday in shut proximity to Trump International Hotel & Tower. The banner learn “Love No Border! Stop the Deportations,” and 3 of the demonstrators climbed within the globe after unfurling the banner.
The NYPD replied and arrested 14 demonstrators, pronouncing no fees had been right away filed. Witness Tarik Othman says the demonstrators had been non violent, and there have been no incidents whilst other people had been being taken into custody.
