ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Two brothers arrested all the way through a Maryland gun possession rights protest ultimate week have filed a lawsuit in opposition to police.
The Baltimore Sun experiences Jeff and Kevin Hulberts’ lawsuit within the U.S. District Court in Baltimore accuses Capitol Police of submitting fees in “retaliation” for talking to reporters. The Hulberts have been arrested on Feb. five after police requested them to depart a public sidewalk.
The lawsuit says Chief Michael Wilson filed further fees Feb. 6 after studying adverse information protection. It additionally says Kevin Hulbert was once wrongfully arrested for filming Jeff Hulbert’s arrest.
Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Emily Morse says the Hulberts’ fees were dropped after discussing the case with police. Spokesman for the Department of General Services, Nick Cavey, says Capitol Police was once blind to the lawsuit.
