ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities say a Cuban man who have been held at an immigration detention middle in Georgia has died.
A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement information unlock says 33-year-old Yulio Castro Garrido died Tuesday on the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.
ICE says scientific personnel on the Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Georgia, recognized him with pneumonia and he was once taken to a clinic in Cuthbert on Jan. 7. ICE says Castro to begin with resisted remedy, inflicting his situation to aggravate. He was once transferred to a clinic in Albany on Jan. nine and placed on a ventilator.
After being transferred to Jacksonville Jan. 17, ICE says Castro slipped right into a coma Jan. 22 and not regained awareness.
