FALFURRIAS, Texas (AP) - Authorities have blamed contemporary frigid climate in South Texas for the deaths of 5 immigrants whose stays have been found through some hunters close to a ranch.
A Customs and Border Protection remark Friday mentioned the stays have been found out Jan. 21 on a ranch close to Falfurrias (fal-FYOO’-ree-uhs). A border checkpoint is positioned in the world.
Officials say 4 immigrants have been from Honduras and El Salvador. A 5th didn't have id. Their stays were transported to a scientific examiner.
The Customs remark says it’s presumed the immigrants succumbed to freezing climate, according to the decomposed stays. Authorities are looking to decide when the immigrants died.
The National Weather Service experiences temperatures dipped under freezing Jan. 16 and once more Jan. 17. Temperatures days previous in the Falfurrias space have been in the 80s.
